I have sat on both sides of the table.

Biomedical engineer and PhD candidate at UPM. Today I am AI Product Owner and Data Scientist at Pivotal: I run AI adoption across every department and I design, deploy and evaluate the agents used by more than 200 people, built on Anthropic, OpenAI and LangChain. I also own the AI product roadmap, which is where it gets decided which need of the organization ends up as something that works.

Before that I was a Technical Project Manager and an AI and digital health consultant. I worked with research groups, SMEs, startups and healthcare organizations inside European projects (IHI, Horizon Europe, H2020), on design, development, validation and rollout. Coordinating and building at the same time: making sure what was promised held up scientifically, fitted the regulation and could actually be done.

And before that, three years as an AI Research Engineer building and validating AI systems in high-impact European projects. I know what gets promised in a proposal and what survives the day-to-day of an organization. The distance between those two things is, basically, my job.
